3-stage Au Pair Placement

Firstly, we will be very happy to meet you at your home at any time convenient to you. It is a chance for us to meet your family, know your child/ren, have an understanding of your family structure, your routines, etc. Expectations and the qualities that you are looking for in an Au Pair will be discussed during this time. It is also a very good opportunity for you to know us, our services and how we can deliver these services to you. If you have concerns, this is also the perfect opportunity to address those concerns.

During this first meeting you will be presented with several candidates who match your criteria.  You are free to ask questions about the candidates and we will be happy to answer those questions. Once you have pre-selected candidate(s), an online chat will be arranged so you can speak with the candidate(s).  This will facilitate the first host family – au pair contact.

Also to be discussed are the working schedule of the Au Pair, how can she acquaint herself with the Dutch culture, society and way of life, the required Dutch language course for the Au Pair, the rules and regulations concerning the stay of an Au Pair in the Netherlands in general. Also during this meeting, IND (MVV) visa application procedure and IND-required documents will also be explained. For more information regarding MVV visa application procedure for Au Pairs, please visit www.ind.nl.

Secondly, when the IND required documents are completed and forms are all filled in, the (MVV) visa application begins.  Au pair in Holland being a covenant holder (convenant houder/erkend referent), it takes about 10 working days before we can get the approval of the visa application. The whole process, from the time the request was submitted up to the arrival of the au pair in the Netherlands, takes about 4-5 weeks.

Thirdly, immediately upon arrival of the Au Pair in Holland, she will be oriented and trained by us. Based on our experience, this orientation is very crucial on this critical period of adjustment and acclimatization.
